Medium Tag-O-Rama: Every Writer Deserves a Tag

Amplifying writer’s voices on Medium: Write about a fellow author and inspire others to do the same

Are you tired of feeling like your writing is falling into a void? Do you want to find new ways to connect with other writers and amplify your voice on Medium?

Well, I’ve got some exciting news for you.

I’m thrilled to introduce Medium Tag-O-Rama, a brand new challenge where writers write about each other and add their names as story topics.

As a participant, you’ll not only discover new writers and perspectives on Medium, but you’ll also have the opportunity to amplify the voices of your fellow writers and inspire others to do the same.

So come join me as we celebrate the power of community and storytelling on Medium.

The idea for this challenge came when, earlier today, I discovered that Rock n' Heavy fellow editor Apex had written a story celebrating some of my interviews.

Apex selected “Rui Alves” as one of the five topics/tags. This was a first for me.

The idea stuck to the back of my mind, and the insight didn’t take long to hit me:

Challenge Guidelines

So the Medium Tag-O-Rama challenge will go down like this:

1. This challenge is open to every writer on Medium.
2. I would love to publish your stories on Engage, but you can self-publish or choose other publications.
3. If you are not a writer for Engage please let me know in the comments section, and I will add you.
4. Write one or more stories about fellow Medium writers.
5. Tag them so they know you've mentioned them (use @ + their Medium handle).
6. At the end of your story invite/tag six other friends, join them in pairs and kindly ask if they would like to join the challenge by writing about each other.
7. In the five topics section write the writer’s name (as shown in their profile). I suggest using an improbable pairing approach to keep things even more interesting. 😉
8. Additionally, please don’t forget to also include “Medium Tag-O-Rama” as one of the five topics, so that we can keep track of all the stories in the challenge.

I have already drafted my first story for this challenge so that you can get a better idea of what I have in mind. I hope to have it published by the end of the day.
