Medium Story Click Bait Titles

I know this is going to make some of you angry. But if you are angry that your stories are probably clickbait then you are the ones I am talking to. Because you are writing crap. Not only are you writing crap, but you are also wasting people’s time that are reading that crap and trying to get something useful out of it.
Clickbait titles on Medium!
There are so frigging many! Tons and tons of them. OK, I get it! You want to make some money on Medium so you churn out dozens of articles often two, three, or more a day. I understand that I do. But also you need to be putting useful content out there not just dross.
How I made $10k in my first year of writing!
I read the story and can you guess?
ZERO information on how they made $10k in a year. None, not a single helpful link or idea apart from a general you should and I used to. Did they actually make that much? I doubt it, you doubt it, but you still read the story hoping beyond hope you can find some information to at least help you make half of that.
How I managed to sell to sell 5,000 books on Amazon!
LINK TO BOOK ON AMAZON on How to sell your book on Amazon.
You can make money copywriting!
Absolutely no information on how to make money on copywriting or anything remotely showing the reader what exactly copywriting is.
The whole article could be summed up as. Copywriting is a job you can do at home, companies pay money to copywriters. If you want to learn how to copywrite, pay for my course.
And on and on. How to use AI to make money. Again zero information on how to make money using AI apart from some rough ideas.
This is clickbait!
This is not a story this is a big advertisement for the writer’s product or page. And I use the word writer loosely here because a lot of the “Writing” hasn’t been written by a person.
Clickbait is so common now that half of the articles I read or videos I watch do not tell me or show me anything useful. I am not going into the whole YouTube channel clickbait because that’s been done to death.
“How I did it”
Becomes nothing more than a generalization to get people to read the story, so the writer can make some money through readership, or clicks to their book, course and so on.
Generic content is often written by AI. And a lot of this crap is put through the publications! Sorry, but what? How? How can you publish this shit on your publication?
Zero information, nothing in the content that even matches the title!
I don’t really want to use the words “Do better!” But dammit DO BETTER!
A clap would be nice, and a follow would be even better.
