The grand Medium Purge from a few days ago has been completed!

I appreciate Medium taking this step to prevent bad actors and bots from flooding this platform.

I wrote about this earlier:

Let’s look at what has transpired after that exercise.

My Audience stats no longer has a discrepancy (called out in the second link above) between the Profile page and Audience stats page.

I had about 40 bad followers on my list at the end of this exercise.

While I’m happy about that, I still see at least 2 impersonating accounts per day (which I promptly report). here are some screenshots I took a few days ago. (cue: Ryan Canady, Leonard Tillerman, Lea Bardot).

Medium, can we do something quickly to prevent messages/accounts with similar patterns (the message is nearly consistent with each of these)?

I hope to see this platform continue to thrive and keep the energy healthy for all of us!
