But it’s so much more than the money you make
Medium is a great place to earn money online. Not just for writers, either, or should I say, traditional writers. JaffaBranding, for example, is a Graphic Designer, and yet he has found success on Medium. Why is it the easiest way?
- Low barrier to entry
- Simple to set up
- No further marketing required
- Build a high-value skill
- Great potential
You don’t need to be an expert writer to join Medium, nor do you need to be great at marketing. Medium and the algorithm sorts all of that for you. Yes, there are various degrees of ‘success’ or ‘making money’ on Medium, but the simple fact is that making money, even if it’s just $1 is easy to do on Medium. Definitely easier than anywhere else online.
But while this is true, Medium is not about making money, no it’s so much more than that.

The community on Medium is incredible, unlike one I’ve seen before, 90% of people on here are extremely nice, as opposed to somewhere like Twitter where maybe 10% are nice… Just joking Twitter folk!
Medium, for me, represents everything that I hold to a high standard.
