How to make your hyperlinks look stylish and properly formatted

To embed a Tweet, Instagram video, or more on Medium, all you need to do is to paste the URL into the Medium editor, and press Enter to convert that link into an embed.

If you are still having trouble with your link format, make sure that your text is not formatted as a header or title (make sure the text is the standard article font size). For example,

https://www.medium.com/blogging-guide is correct.

but not:

https://www.medium.com/blogging-guide

or

https://www.medium.com/blogging-guide

or as a quote:

https://www.medium.com/blogging-guide

https://www.medium.com/blogging-guide

***Also note that you must include the prefix “https://” before your URL to allow the formatting to take place.***

This is why, for example, the following link does not render correctly:

www.medium.com/blogging-guide

but if I add the “https://” prefix it works fine:

https:// + www.medium.com/blogging-guide =
