Meditation is the best way to relieve stress. Ever tried it?

Prompt for June 22nd: What’s your favorite way to relieve stress?

Like I’ve already pointed out in some previous articles, meditation is a great way of keeping your life balanced. If you’re interested in knowing more about this topic I’ve collected all meditation related articles that I’ve written on Medium in a list.

The beneficial effects of meditation have been widely approved, both by the Eastern and the Western world. Whether in the form of ancient Vedic teachings or under the more modern technique of mindfulness, meditation has gained an important role in the life of many people.

As regards myself, I started meditating almost thirty years ago through the technique known as Transcendental Meditation (TM). It was introduced in our Western countries by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, an Indian master, and is still taught by qualified teachers.

There is also a University in the United States, the Maharishi International University, home of consciousness-made education, where TM is an integrated part of the programme.

TM not only relieves stress, it reduces high blood pressure, helps maintain optimal metabolic values, reduces anxiety, and has been generally proven to improve life under many other aspects.

When practicing constantly any kind of meditation, you can experiment an inner connection with a part of yourself which is pure calmness, because it attains to the infinite source of creative intelligence residing inside of us.

Through TM you can connect with this source at the deepest level.

This is my way of relieving stress. It is effective, and after so many years I can state that introducing this practice into my daily life has been the best choice I could make for my wealth.
