Buckle up, fellow travelers. This may blow your socks off.
I walked outside this afternoon and the white rabbit in the sky immediately caught my eye. Very few if any other people could have looked up from the same vantage point and time to see that in the cloud formation. It had to be a message for me. So I quickly dispatched with the notion of simply writing a poem about the beauty I perceived and realized I had to dig deeper.
As I have written many times, I am sure that the elephant is one of my spirit animals and the fact that God has chosen to present itself to me in the form of an elephant cemented that for me. Earlier this year, I also discerned a deep connection to the deer. Native American totem poles depict several images. So perhaps the rabbit appeared to me today as a spirit animal or at the very least the manifestation of a message from my guides. So, I Googled the rabbit’s possible synchronous meanings.

In my last post about decoding synchronicity, I wrote about trying to decode a ChannSpired message received from a reader that commented “you are right on the cusp my friend…and doing quite well at that.”
I wondered if the rabbit in the sky was a signal of the abundance of which I am on the cusp. At that very moment that I gazed upon the rabbit, my oldest and best friend, Richard, texted me to call him. A few days ago I published a story about the fact that my writings help many people, which Richard read. When I called Richard a few minutes later, he said to me that a fraternity brother of his had asked him to donate to a mental health facility not far from where I live, and Richard suggested that I volunteer my time at the facility so that I can help people that I actually meet in person and have such contact with people, as now I primarily only have virtual contact with people through Medium. I said that sounded like a wonderful idea and welcomed him connecting his frat brother and me via email.
Then I read the materials that he had sent Richard and crafted and sent this email:
Hi David. I’m so happy that Richard thought to connect us for the potential of me volunteering with your Waverly Place program of McLean’s Belmont, Massachusetts Campus.
The first document I opened was the weekly schedule and two events jumped off the page at me — Spirituality and Writing Workshop. I write essays and poetry on Medium.com with a heavy emphasis on non-religious spirituality. I mentor several writers on the platform.

This is a piece that I posted recently that is the synchronous springboard for Richard suggesting to me today that I volunteer with you. Then I read your mission statement and I highlighted:
a) “experiences hearing, seeing, sensing things others don’t”
You may mean that in terms of mental illness, but I suspect you recognize that many have this ability because they are tuned in to the daily synchronicities that the universe sends every one of us but many cannot or refuse to see. I created a publication on Medium called ChannSpirations and Coincidences, where we celebrate Jungian synchronicities and the every-person-portal to both receive messages from the universe for ourselves and communicate them to others. I believe very much in the unique vitality of every human being as opposed to the groupthink and shaming of “terminal uniqueness” that has pervaded 12-step programs:
I have no formal training in clinical matters. Yet, I hope the above and my experience with the concept of Carefrontation, learned from my former therapist and now dear friend, Harris Stratyner, can prove beneficial to your program participants. I would very much like to go back to school one day for a self-designed multidisciplinary M.A. or Ph.D. in spirituality, philosophy, psychology, and possibly other domains and this could be a wonderful stepping stone.
