Me and My Life

Writing prompt given by Denise Larkin to write about ourselves

The best way to know me is to read my stories and poems that’s where I find myself the best part of me.

A family of ten four of us left a son and a daughter not something bereft two grandchildren and a lovely fluffy cat nothing could possibly top all that.

Children of all ages tender my soul they nourish my writings like milk in a cereal bowl.

Middle grade is my usual voice but Medium has brought more of myself out to play for adults not to bore.

Books and movies are like salt is to food and flavors my life preserving my passion for a life without strife.

Every book we read can change us and help us to learn for life is worth living in a a world full of turns.

I’m a giver and a lover persistent and wise for all those I love and strangers who pass by.

I learned early in life that everyone deserves love my mom taught me well who now resides above.

Nature and winters make me happy and free caring for our planet dissolves my worries.

I dream of Antarctica the land of snow and ice where penguins abound to visit would be nice.

I dream most of being an author I have many more books to write and finding an agent to relieve my plight.

So, in a nutshell - I’m a writer, a poet, a lover, a giver, a caretaker, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, an aunt, a dreamer. And right now, following my heart, hoping to keep doing so, for as long as imagination lasts and the words flow.
