About Me – At Least Some Part Of Me
At the age of 41 I moved to South East Asia, more precise, Singapore. Finally, a long standing vacuum was filled.
I was a free agent. No job, no wife. Freelancing.
My father said, “Go, I take care”.
He took care of the house which I was building at that time. I did what he wanted to do all along his life. It was his dream to travel the world. He felt for me and he enjoyed to see me going. Going to see the world. He set me free. He built my house.
I did not move back. I stayed on for 20 years. I found my wife and made 2 children, a family, all in the humidity of Singapore.
I was an IT guy initially and turned myself to be in charge of a manufacturing facility. Was this still me?
Looking back, it was an amazing adventure. Choppy, but colourful waters, more than enough.
I almost tripped at 61. A stroke rang my bell. I got back to live again.
There are signs, my time is running out. I have to leave the humid place. Retirement is near. Without employment no way to stay in the ever charging Lion City.
I still do not know where to go.
Go back home? I do not want the journey to end. Follow my children? They are still too young to fly alone. Stay in my wife’s country? Affordable. But then.
