May the Force Be With You

Always and forever — A limerick

Image by Jan Alexander from Pixabay

Limericks were always fun. They harken back to a time — a somewhat simpler time when everything was everything and English language ruled the land because The English ruled the land.

Poetry was just something we had to read, learn and write. How many of us became poets? Not many. But the memories of a good limerick lingers. Here’s my attempt at my very first limerick, ever!

There was a young lady called Kate

Whose Spirit Guides helped her create

And whenever she tried

Without them by her side

The result was just crap on a plate.
