Max Verstappen for President! What Are the Healthy Alternatives to Red Bull?
Let’s go fast & furious!

I love watching sports more than doing it. I’m not that fast in real life. I’m a dancer and a walker. That kind of pace. But I like to go fast & furious. No Red Bull for me.
I’m ADHD enough. And I don’t have a sugar tooth.
In my techie world, there’s a lot of Red Bull around. I don’t know why. Do we work too hard? Do we ask too much of ourselves? Do our bosses ask too much? Or is it something else?
Tell me in the comments your thoughts about Red Bull.
I remember meeting some people here in Berlin once who had a healthy alternative. Not sugar as an addictive mechanism but plants. Coffee. The interesting thing about this concept is that it is a solid version. Not a drink.
Advantages:
- Sustainable packaging always better possible with solid than liquid
- solid instead of liquid solidifies more money in the business model?
- healthy and without too much sugars apparently
“Coffee Pixels is a food-tech startup from Riga, Latvia. They’re reinventing the coffee experience by turning specialty coffee into a mobile, ready to eat coffee bar with superfood qualities. Coffee Pixels uses the entire coffee cherry — the coffee bean and the antioxidant-rich fruit, which is combined with good fats (cocoa butter) to better absorb the antioxidants, as well as deliver a slower caffeine release, leading to a more sustainable energy boost.” — Start-Up scene. Apparently, there are also liquid, healthier alternatives for Red Bull. Here is some more info about it.

Tech, Health & Nature
In our techie scene in Berlin we think a lot about health and nature. But I really have no clue if that’s the same in other countries. I’ve never been to Silicon Valley or any of the other techie places.
I do want to though.
So maybe in the meantime, you can tell me what it’s like. Tell me in the comments. Or tag me in your stories.
Do you have hackathons for nature-based solutions?
Do you create Web3 dataverses that are not slurping energy?
Do you go to nature places together to rethink with your head in clean air and your back on the grass?
We do. And then we come up with great projects like the Blue Hearts Network. Tech and sea. We are working with Belgian marine vessels equipped like spaceships. To monitor the sea for health and activities. We hope to be accepted in ESA with our project. ESA is the European Space Agency.
My uncle Oswald will be so proud when that happens. He’s the astrophysicist in my life. I lived with him since I was 16 when my parents couldn’t handle me anymore.
Let’s see, sea, c what happens next…

Astronauts & Max
Due to my uncle O. being an astrophysicist, I’ve met some astronauts in my life. We have a lot of them living not too far away. In Europe, nothing is really far away. We travel by train or Flixbus to Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, Switzerland, or France.
Hans Wilhelm Schlegel is one of astronauts I met. He worked on the Columbus ISS module. When I meet these guys (they are mostly guys) my curiosity muscle immediately kicks in and I start asking questions.
What would you ask an astronaut?
Maybe next time I can ask one of the guys your questions. I wouldn’t mind. It would make me smarter as well. Because maybe you come up with a question I have never thought of before.
I asked Hans Wilhelm once what it was like to pee in a space shuttle. It seemed so funny for me. You need of course to make sure that the pee doesn’t touch air because then it flies.
He also told me, they make drinking water out of pee in a space craft. This technology is now used in refugee camps by Similla Sanitation Hubs. 4 benefits. Clean water. Good sanitation. Fertilizers. And compost. Interesting how spacecraft shapes our world now.
Max Verstappen is my favorite in the racing game. He’s Dutch. His parents were racers too. And apparently his dad grew up in a nomad camp. I like that. People with humble backgrounds who just use their talents to get on in life.
I can just imagine him visiting his grandma who lives in a caravan with lace curtains. Must be great to have a coffee with him there and just chat about… fast life…
He seems to be friends with some of the famous DJs too. Martin Garrix. In Europe, the DJ scene is biggest on Ibiza. But it’s in Berlin too. And Amsterdam, because many of the DJs are Dutch.
