Maui fires, Lahaina, memories, reflection
Hey friends,
It’s devastating to see most of beautiful Lahaina be burned to the ground.
My wife and I had our honeymoon there many years ago and it was one of the best experiences ever.
First we went to a restaurant with a talking parrot who shared my name, we ate bacon and fruits.
After this many other adventures occurred.
Seeing the historical buildings and the old large tree. Beautiful local art galleries. Submarine trip right off Lahaina shores.
One of the nicest things we did there was go into a small cafe run by the native locals. It was such an amazing atmosphere. This little cafe on the water is gone now too.
I hope the people will have a lot of strength and support to rebuild.
As I see this, I also know that much of my home country, Ukraine, has been devastated by the fires of war.
These things remind us of how important it is to cherish the days when we have peace and calm. You never know what’s next.
Blessings.
