Mastering Medium: How I Gained 485 Followers in 30 Days and Boosted Earnings
Your not going to believe what happened: 30 Day Challenge Update
Over the past 30 days, my Medium journey has been nothing short of astonishing. When I initially challenged myself to a 30-day experiment, my goal was simple: gain 100 followers.
However, the results have exceeded my wildest expectations. As of today, my follower count stands at an impressive 485, and I’ve even managed to add 11 individuals to my email list with minimal promotion.
Furthermore, my visibility and earnings through the Medium Partner Program have more than doubled from August to September. (In the interest of full transparency, I started my paid program journey in August.)
The Power of Consistency
So, what’s the secret behind this remarkable progress? Let me share the top four behaviors and habits that I diligently adhered to:
1. Writing Like Crazy
One of the cornerstones of my strategy was an unrelenting commitment to writing. On some days, when inspiration flowed like a river, I penned an astonishing 6 to 8 articles. Other days were more modest, but I made it a point to consistently produce at least one article every day. The key was to keep those creative juices flowing.
2. Networking with Fervor
I realized that Medium is not just a platform for publishing; it’s a thriving community. I made it a daily mission to connect with as many people as possible. The beauty of it is that many reciprocated by following me back. This naturally segued into the next step.
3. Engaging with the Medium Community
Medium is a treasure trove of diverse and captivating content. I found it nearly impossible not to stumble upon writers whose work piqued my interest. I made it a habit to read and genuinely engage with other members’ posts. This not only enriched my own understanding but also fostered valuable connections.
4. Appreciating and Responding
Every comment on my articles received my utmost attention. Whether it was a simple “thanks” or a more detailed response based on their feedback, I acknowledged and appreciated every interaction. Building a sense of community and reciprocity was vital.
What Lies Ahead
As I look to the future, my sights are set on the next 30 days. My goal is to surpass 750 followers, double my earnings once more, and increase overall views and engagement. I also want to start exploring more frequently how to get published in different Medium Publications.
I’m excited about the journey ahead, and I’m confident that the strategies I’ve shared will continue to work their magic.
