Master Puppeteer

A Poem

I know strength as a plaything, something to be toyed with. I know strength as an estranged neighbour, awaiting contact.

I know strength as my enemy, bringing me pain to survive the war on itself.

I know strength as the winter air, the grassy aroma filling my nose, the smoke filling my lungs. I know strength as the reason my heart still beats.

I know strength as the reason I am still walking. I know strength as the master puppeteer. Long may she reign.

This a response to a prompt set by Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她)
