Masked Man — Poetry

I Always Knew

What should I believe? Who should I believe? When you’ve always lied to me Who you are is someone I don’t know I tried to, but you never gave in, so I had to let go My heart ponders on your only option Was another life measured as just an option?

All of these bumps in the road could’ve been avoided You only needed to jump The excuses keep mounting The tears keep filling this fountain But my heart knows the truth Though it cuts deep I have all the clarity I need You chose B You may never be with me But I’ll always see You and her so happy Are you happy?
