Margaret Atwood’s words of advice every writer should take to heart. When I woke up someone left me a nasty comment, it’s not the first time and it will not be the last. Constructive criticisms are welcome, but you know when someone wants you to ‘stay in your lane.’

Everyone can write, what is important is what you have to say and the courage to say it.
Don’t panic. Think carefully. Write clearly. Act in good faith. Repeat.
I will try my best to live by her words moving forward. In an ideal world, I wouldn’t write for money. In the world I live in I need money to survive.
I write about what people like to read, but I balance it with pieces that come from the heart, even if it only gets a few reads.
Thank you.
