Manos de arpista
Blackout poetry in Spanish (with English translation)

Estaba contemplando con las dos manos fantasmas de organdí y de seda, sólo en su vida, un desconocido más, tenía manos de arpista.
He was contemplating with both hands ghosts of organdy and of silk, alone in his life one incognito more, he had harpist’s hands.
This blackout poetry came from the short story, “Bon Voyage Mr. President by Gabriel García Márquez.” It’s the Vagabond Voices Book Club pick for this month. You can find the book (in English) in OpenLibrary.com.
We’ve got an online book chat coming up on May 5th. You can read the book in any language(s) you like, but we chat in English — it’s the one language we all speak…
