Abstract

The author, Gustave Deresse, shares a deeply personal update from March 8th, 2023, delving into the emotional intricacies of distancing from a close yet unhealthy family dynamic. Through poetic expression, they acknowledge the past year's insights and the realization of poetry's profound impact on understanding their experiences. The narrative touches on the challenges of breaking up with family, the inefficacy of moon-related spellwork for them, and the importance of action in conjunction with faith for manifesting desires. Opinions

  • The author expresses a sense of severance and loss regarding their family relationships, acknowledging the difficulty of breaking up with family despite their closeness and the blame they now face.
  • There is a reflection on the paradoxical nature of poetry, providing clarity in hindsight, and the author's past writings are critiqued as inconsistent and off-point.
  • The author conveys skepticism about the effectiveness of moon-related spellwork, suggesting that adherence to schedules and rational planning is not part of their practice.
  • A strong emphasis is placed on the importance of taking action in conjunction with maintaining faith for achieving one's goals.
  • The text advises on the practice of manifestation, suggesting that it should not involve casting away but rather attracting and bringing out desired outcomes.
  • There is a warning that dividing one's focus during manifestation can lead to emotional turmoil, potentially 'shredding' one's heart.
  • The author recommends setting a minimum of two targets for manifestation, one for each aspect of oneself, and stresses the importance of showing great care and taking action to avoid entrapment by despair.

Manifesting Lack — The Ol’ Switcheroo on the Waxing Moon

We’ll see how it goes

A beautifully waxing moon during the day — Image by author.

Banishment is severe, a tad bleak for my taste.

The waning moon has its uses, lending me time to rest— read: to prepare for the exit race.

March 8th, 2023 UPDATE--
The most fucked up part of poetry,
is reading back a year later
and finally realizing
how much it made sense
to you all
along.

Breaking up with my family
is just difficult, because,
despite all the unhealthy and abusive
behaviours,
we've always been close; now
I have to live with the
fact they blame me for their
suffering, and
that's
just the way
it is.

But I wasn't raised to
reject. Not even a
little
bit.

Moon related spellwork
didn't last for
me
anyway-- schedules
are for rational
folk.

Note: Faith (of quality, please ignore half my works)
is great,
mindset-wise, but nothing happens
without taking
action.

In any case, this poem
is lame, and inconsistent, and
it
doesn't stay
on
point.

All the same,
enjoy.

Sincerely, take care.

inconsistencies and senselessness.

For time of manifestation come again, we’ll be ready.

Earth, fire, water, and air— the ether strong at the base.

Attract, bring out;

do not cast away.

For multiple targets, we’ve already paid.

Beware, for splitting focus may see your heart shred, and tear.

Consider a limit of minimum two— one for each you?

In all cases, ensure to show great care, to take action, to remain unentrapped by Despair.

Sincerely,

— G
