Mama Earth Feels the Pain Too
A free verse poem on earthquakes

She felt the tremor, She felt the heat, She felt the shift beneath her feet. What choice did Mama Earth really have? But to let her body rip apart, with nothing but a painful bleat.
Earth has been personified above as a mother, who has to helplessly see herself getting ripped apart due to natural disasters. Apart from the havoc humans incur on the earth, several natural processes do nothing less than torture earth where she feels the infinite heat within her pushing the tectonic plates apart while changing her inside out forever.
