Earth has been personified above as a mother, who has to helplessly see herself getting ripped apart due to natural disasters. Apart from the havoc humans incur on the earth, several natural processes do nothing less than torture earth where she feels the infinite heat within her pushing the tectonic plates apart while changing her inside out forever.
