Maldives: Heaven on Earth
“All in all, even some kinds of unexpected and ridiculous disappointments couldn’t diminish the astonishment of being in this place with its spectacular nature.” ― Sahara Sanders

“It’s not possible to ever forget the life moments where, in the morning ocean breeze, you can walk along the beach and pick colorful shells and corals… pity you are not allowed to take them home, but you can always take a picture or video.” ― Sahara Sanders

Visiting the Maldives in 2015 was a dream come true. It was my honeymoon destination along with my estranged husband. He wasn’t that estranged in that year. I loved being at this place.
It was full of serenity, calmness, and beauty of its own. From everywhere my eyes got to see from the earth to the sky, all I came across was water and blue clouds. I wish I knew swimming in life but then I am never too old to learn great things as I move ahead.

The view of the entire Island was so fascinating that it remained in my memory for months. In India, I have been to different cities where I got to witness the beauty of the sea but the Maldives did change my way of thinking.
I was surrounded by blue and green water and all I ever wanted was to lose myself in it bit by bit. It brought me some sweet memories and the air was so clean and heartwarming.

We were mesmerized by looking at its view at night. We used to take long walks of almost two to three hours every day in our four days stay there. It never felt like I was away from the abode and every day I just wanted to cherish the surroundings God made me a part of for so long. The walk on this path was like coming across my soul and capturing every moment more in the heart than eyes.

We came to this place by boat as that’s the only way of commuting there from the airport. The view from the boat was equally awesome and I was so scared of the water as I don’t know swimming but then the driver made it so easy and smooth for us as we were blessed with more passengers. If given a chance I would want to go back to the same place to make some new memories this time.

I genuinely enjoyed the taste of this red wine. I cannot recall its name but it was delicious. I am a huge red wine lover and I developed the taste for it in the year 2015. Thanks to my estranged husband he had some classic taste in red wine too. If he gets to read this article he may jump out of his chair as I am thanking him here for something. I wouldn’t deny that I have been an ardent fan of red wine since then and every winter I enjoy it with my father.

I didn’t miss any chance of being in nature for so many reasons. First, I am a huge nature lover. Second, I knew I won’t be returning to this place anytime soon. Third, I wanted to explore this place inch by inch. Fourth, I knew if we love nature it loves us back.
I used to take walk near the sea and look at my shadow for minutes to make sense out of my life in this world. It was like consoling to my soul as I was recovering from viral flu while being on the honeymoon.
I will be sharing more about my journey to this heavenly land. Till then, rejoice these pictures and my thoughts on this place.
