Five Reasons You’ll Never Make Six Figures from Passive Income
If you’ve been dreaming about making six figures of passive income from an online business, it’s time to get prepared for the difficult road ahead.
It’s nice to believe the fantasies people like Tim Denning writes about, but I promise you, the advice to just “create a service or community to make 6-figures online as a one-person business in 2024” is absolute bullshit.
Unless you’re really fucking lucky compared to the one million other people doing the same exact thing as you.
But maybe you do happen to fart magical unicorns and rainbows.
If that’s the case, ignore all my real world advice and go frolicking through the woods to collect your wheelbarrows of cash instead.
Do you know why so many of these online pied pipers have so many followers hanging onto every note of their music? Because they sell the magic bean and unfortunately people want a magic bean!
- Follow the blueprint.
- Write great content.
- Build a mailing list.
- Sell your subscription.
- Watch money appear.
- Rinse and repeat.
The online game isn’t hard they say. Just follow the yellow brick road while singing their song and you’ll find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Or maybe you’ll end up marching towards bankruptcy.
I don’t mean to be such a sarcastic asshole; I’m just sick of gullible people risking their livelihoods by chasing mostly unrealistic hopes and dreams.
To be fair, not everything said from the online hucksters is a lie.
Some of what these online business experts suggest is true and does work, though not always as it’s stated.
I’ve personally known a handful of incredible content creators who did attain six figure businesses by following these often regurgitated strategic formulas written about online.
So it’s not all bullshit.
However, you’re never gonna make six figures from passive income by just following a simple plan offered by these charlatans alone. If that was reality, we’d ALL be laying golden eggs.
And even if you were to follow a bulletproof plan, there are five other BIG reasons you’re likely to fail at achieving that magical goal.
You’re a quitter.
No one wants to hear this but the truth is most people quit within the first 30 days of starting something new.
Why? Because it’s hard work.
Just like it takes years to build a sexy body and become luscious eye-candy like Jason Momoa or Gal Gadot, building a business requires a lot sacrifice.
Most humans don’t want to put in the work because it’s not easy.
This is why people are spending thousands of dollars each month for Ozempic injections to lose weight, which ironically, will eventually kill them or destroy the very body they seek to have.
We all want fast results or we quit trying.
You’re not consistent.
OK, this isn’t entirely true because so many of you are consistently on Tik Tok, Netflix, or Pornhub. Sorry!
The only way to move towards creating a successful and profitable online business is to chip away at it every single day for a long time.
You must be consistent at producing, marketing, selling, and closing.
And then you gotta do it again. And again. And again.
If that’s too much to consider save yourself the hardships and suffering. Work for somebody else and keep that paycheck coming. It’s safer that way.
You’re not motivated.
All of us have days where we have zero fucks left to give. Life is exhausting and stressful and it just wears us down. And there’s no motivation.
So we drink some beer, feel sorry for ourselves, cry our hearts out, then binge watch a popular show for hours. It’s totally normal.
The challenge though is not letting every day become that day.
Unless you are able to push through and have the proper motivation to get things done, your dream will never happen.
I think this why it’s priceless to know and understand “your why.”
Because when you have a very clear and compelling reason for why you must make that six figure paycheck, you’ll have the insane drive to make it happen, even when you don’t feel like it.
If you conquer this you have won half the battle.
