Making Sense Of Showing Up
Some poem-notes on showing up
a simple act of showing up but not that easy because we are used to fucking up anything so simple doesn't make sense to our ego and so it fucks up for one simple reason it threatens ego even if it is for a couple of seconds
to merely show up without any sort of corruption requires one to open up their eyes to the only strength they got not the one they ought to cultivate but the little strength one already has and this is tough as it requires us to let go let go of any faking let go of any forcing let go of any wishing let go of any corrupting and to just show up to open their eyes to what is here and now to simply see one's strength to be with the here and now experience as it is whatever it is whatsoever it is be it uncertainty or unwillingness no one knows what may happen in confronting their own stubborn refusal or that deeply buried laziness and it does not make sense for the ego when the alternative is safe but hell
and it is simple yet risky to see with one’s own eyes their little strength which can also be exposing ones’ weakness without any idea what that would be not knowing if one would fuck up and so it involves letting go showing up = to see = letting go=a conscious letting go one cannot see what is and not let go of what is not at the same time one sees what is not what should be
one is not concerned if showing up gives them confidence one is not concerned if showing up gives them inspiration one is not concerned if it ends up favorably and one cannot know no point in torturing the mind with unknowables where it takes us is not our concern like a space for unadulterated creativity
wherever one finds themselves to be they are also free to show up then and there without calculating and plotting free to let go let life
one just goes through the here and now experience with open eyes without any corruption what may come out of it what one discovers no one knows everything else is manipulating or non-risking a little readiness initiates a slight relaxedness — just showing up.
“If we know exactly where we’re going, exactly how to get there, and exactly what we’ll see along the way, we won’t learn anything. ”― Scott Peck
