Making Memories
Oh, the things we do for the little ones. Have you taken children climbing trees or wading in rivers with nets to catch minnows? Or have you smiled as little ones screeched while hopping from rock to rock looking for crawdads.
Have you skipped stones on the lake? Caught fish in the river after teaching a child to bate their hook?
Have you planned parties where the children could dance with their music too loud?
Have you taken a car load of youth to the drive-in theater?
Made piñatas.
Think of all the things you have done for your children or the children of others. Think of the plans you made so carefully so you could make memories for the young ones. And they have those memories.
All the while you were creating for them you created…
memories for yourself too.
How sweet to remember.
