Making Furry Friends Everywhere I Go

November Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Happiness”

Hey Vidz, Stop Clicking! Pet Me!

That furry friend followed me around at the Lalbagh Botanical Gardens when my friend and I were there for the flower show early this year. Of course, we clicked photos, several in silly poses.

I mean, I tried on a blonde wig and a black one too. Losing my hair, you see, and I wanted to be prepared!

This fella approached us when we stopped for a snack and hung around until we entered the glass house an hour later. Don’t you love it when (wo)man’s best friend does that? I love this photo of him looking up at me as I photograph the sunshine streaming through the trees as if to say, come on, focus on me.

This pic makes me very happy — a memory of the wonderful day spent with my friend, crazy conversations, laughter. It was an impromptu decision to head out that Sunday and I surprised myself when I said yes because I am usually too lazy to drag myself out on a Sunday especially when the commute involves more than a walk. I was glad I did. Why would I say no when happiness knocked on my door?

And oh, happiness is also being able to magic-erase people out of the photo (thinking of you Mary Chang Story Writer — 💜)
