The Beginner’s Guide for Making an Apron
Learning to make an apron by following Erica’s Tutorial
I made my first apron. I learned how to make one by following Erica’s tutorial. The sewing project is suitable for beginners.

The material you need
The project’s main piece is 32 by 26 inches, which includes a half-yard of fabric for the pockets and straps. Because I prefer to tie a bow in the back instead of the front, I used three stripes for the straps. It would be ideal if you had a safety pin as well.
The tutorial to watch
Straps can be created in a variety of ways. To learn how to make one, I watched a different video. Erica’s tutorial was simple to follow and entertaining to watch. It was also simple to understand.
I enjoyed the process of making my first apron. I recommend using a walking foot, but I made the mistake of not doing so when it was necessary. I’ll keep that in mind for the future.
The apron I made is colorful and adjustable. I used an old stained curtain, a tablecloth, and some fabric I had lying around. I recommend that you follow Erica’s tutorial.
I tried to make a pattern by tracing the apron I made at home, but it didn’t work out. I made a patchwork tablecloth out of the tablecloth scraps.
