Lets face it, you and I have probably read countless self-help and business books hoping there is some secret to the universe that will finally allow you to make you first $1000, don’t worry I’ve been there too!

I’m not going to try to convince you to become a Youtuber, drop-shipper or writer. Instead in this blog I’m going to share with you some timeless seeds of advice that will allow you to succeed no matter what your selling!

The best way to make money online as a complete beginner is to offer a service-based business. Unlike the traditional 9–5, where you are selling your time for money, with this business model we are trading value for money. An example of a service that you can provide is YouTube thumbnail creation, you could be making upward of 250$ per thumbnail.

A silly mistake that I see freelancers make too often on sites like Fiverr, is trying to price your services as low as possible believing this will get you more sales. By continuously cutting your prices and comparing your prices to competetors, you are simply joining a race to the bottom.

A much better approach is building a brand and community. You need to offer a service so irresistible your customers salivate just thinking about it and an experience that leaves them wanting more!

This way you can charge whatever price you want! I need you to get rid of this false assumption, that you need to sell your services as low as possible. If you are the best at what you do and have proof to back your claim, your customers would be delighted to pay a premium if they know they are receiving a premium service!

Okay… How do I start?

Don’t underestimate the power of the free trial, if you reach out to family and friends and provide your services for free in exchange for a postive review or 3 referrals for your service. With a little perseverance, I gurantee you will see growth in your business! I am so confident that this strategy works, that if you don’t see results after 3 months, I’ll send you $1000 myself!

A common pitfall for budding entrepreneurs is wasting a lot of time making the best product imaginable, before realising no one really wants their service.

This is why I recommend testing your service on the market and doing your own research before niching down. Maybe run a few low budget marketing ad campaigns or offer your services for free and listen to the feedback you get. If people don’t want your services for free, theres a good chance they won’t pay for it either!

Influencer Arbitrage

Everyone has needs, your favourite Youtuber, Instagram influencer or even billionaire all have pains in their lives that they are dying for someone to solve for them, they are more than happy to throw money at the problem, if it adds value to their life.

These influencers and celebrities are a lot more reachable than you may think, if you email them or reach out over social media offering them something that would benefit them personally, they are very likely to respond!

Compare this to how most people usually reach out, they simply ask to work with their favourite influencer or celebrity with no actual idea as to what value they can provide them.

Just put yourself in their shoes, if a stranger reached out to work with you, with no reason as to why, you would ignore them too!

So, If you can present yourself as an expert in your field offering the best solution to their deepest problems, any sane human would be more than happy to accept your service.

If there was one piece of advice that I want you take away, it would probably be this: If someone has walked the same path you are on, learn from them!

Join masterminds and communities. A lot of entrepreneurs are too afraid to step into the real world, building connections is crucial if you want to succeed, no matter what business. By simply doing favours, answering questions and engaging with other people you’ll find 1 in 10 people willing to return the favour.

The more people you meet, the more you’ll find yourself enjoying luxuries you wouldn’t possibly imagine paying for yourself, like million-dollar yachts, mansions, private jets, you name it!

Conclusion

If you take action by surrounding yourself with people on the same journey as you, find a mentor willing to guide you in difficult times and are constantly seek knowledge. I can’t imagine a world that you don’t succeed!
