There was a time when America was considered to be great and the cornerstone of that greatness was an unwavering commitment to democracy.

When faced with defeat at the polls American presidents without exception have been gracious in handing over power to their successors.

Richard Nixon in spite of all his flaws was a prime example of this virtue.
