It can be hard to make money in this day and age.

People are struggling just to get by, let alone find a way to save up for an emergency fund or retirement account.

I remember being paid $0.01 per word for writing blogs or even lower than that back in 2011….but instead of complaining I found out new ways to make clients that can offer me more.

Go to “ZipRecruiter.com”

ZipRecruiter is an awesome online employment market place that helps you find freelance, remote, part-time and full-time jobs.

When I was first introduced to ZipRecruiter, it took me less than 15 minutes

to create my account and send proposals to the companies there.

Account Creation

Make your account on ZipRecruiter. Make sure that you upload your portfolio, profile picture etc. there. If you don’t upload upload your proper profile picture, companies will perceive that it isn’t a genuine account.

1) Your past employment details should be there.

2) Include your contact number (it will be visible to you only)

3) Include your email address

4) Your profile picture is a must

5) Your academic achievements should be there

Make an impressive profile there. I’m repeating it again, don’t forget to upload your picture. Remember that you are dealing with the real people. If you hide your picture, you will be considered as a con person.

Head to the “Job Section”

Once you are done with the profile part, click on “Jobs” as shown in the picture. You’ll see the exact same page as you are seeing in the picture.

Type “freelance writer or designer” (relevant skill) in the search box.

Change the location to Canada, USA or any other country. (You will see the job openings from the country you select. )

Make sure that you click on “Within 10 days” as shown in the picture. This way you’ll see the latest job openings.

How to apply for freelance gigs?

You will see multiple job openings according to your skill. In my case, I am seeing job openings for “freelance writers.”

Amid Job openings, you’ll see two options:

a) 1-click apply

b) Apply

1-Click Apply means, you’ll be asked a few questions by company and then once you submit the answers, automatically your profile will be shared with that company.

Talk about “Apply” clicking on it will take you to the third-party website chosen by the company to receive your profile.
