Abracadabra, let’s create
Hello Paper Poetry friends,
Sometimes we need fantasy to survive reality. Sometimes fantasy is an escape, sometimes a consolation, sometimes an adrenaline rush, and sometimes an epitome of imagination.
And amongst millions, humans are the only species bestowed with the power of fantasy. We can visualize, dream, fantasize, create or escape from reality to build towers in the cloud, teleport, shapeshift, time travel, talk to mermaids, or whatever takes your fancy.
Maybe, fantasy is not simply a way of escaping from reality, but a way of understanding it. After all, innovations are often the result of having fantasized stuff out of the ordinary.
The great Albert Einstein always placed imagination above intelligence as he believed imagination leads us to another world, a spiritual world, a world where there is abundant universal intelligence.
Paper Poetry ran its February Prompt on similar lines, Fantastically Fantasy to elicit the fantastic fantasies which tickle a poet’s creative turf.

Magically March
Fantasies can give rise to magic. March is magical so let’s create some magic. It is very simple, just say —
ABRACADABRA
swoosh…. and the magic is done!
Well, don’t get us wrong, we are not playing any tricks but in all sincerity we wish to sprinkle some magic, add a few words, stir in some passion, swoosh our magical wand, say ABRACADABRA, and woooooooo…. magic everywhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, come play along, create some magic and say ABRACADABRA.
💁 Did you know ABRACADABRA is from the Aramaic (before Hebrew) phrase, ‘Avra kehdabra’, which literally means, “I create as I speak”?
Powerful, and profound, isn’t it? It means You are the magic, Your words are the magic.
I have grown up hearing my mother saying, “You become whatever you say”. And now I realize her words have credence, solid credence.
ABRACADABRA is not a childish magic word. It has credence. It means, “I create as I speak.”
And we speak what we think.
That implies thoughts have energy. They are powerful. And mixed with unwavering focus, they create magic - ABRACADABRA, “I create as I speak”.
