Maa
Happy Mother’s Day

When I was just a desire, Without fulfillment A dream, Without reality A being, Without existence A clot of blood, Without the warmth of love Even then, She loved me
Even when, I was a hope, Without a breath A body-less emotion, Of love and care A cause of happiness, A tale of love, A fantasy, Without an actuality Even then, She loved me
Then one day, I finally had a breath Within her body, I had my home She Fed me, With love, Brought me up, Through sacrifice But she didn’t complain Because, Even then, She loved me
Out of her, I was born Bestowed with sight, I finally saw her She glanced at me, Smiled, Gave me a kiss, Held me close to her, Though, she didn’t say But I knew, She loved me
She didn’t stop there. Taught me, To talk, To feel, To Walk, Nourished me, Without ever getting tired She was always there, Looking after me, Without a greed Because, She loved me
I can’t express, My gratitude No one can! One day, Or a lifetime, I can’t thank you enough But still, I want to say, Maa! I love you!
