Last summer I had the amazing opportunity to attend the M2L Mediterranean Machine Learning Summer School 2023 in Thessaloniki, Greece 🤖📚🌅🌊

The event was a delightful blend of talks, tutorials, poster sessions, and panel discussions, all put nicely together. Some highlights:

• Yuge (Jimmy) Shi’s deep dive into Computer Vision was very enlightening. Moving from the basics of image classification to the game-changing Unified-IO, she painted a vivid picture of the rapid evolution of visual perception in machines. 📸

• Sahand Sharifzadeh took us on a mesmerizing journey through Transformers. With special emphasis on the Flamingo model, he made us rethink and reimagine the capabilities of these architectures. 💡
