DRABBLE | FICTION | MOTHER’S WISDOM
Love’s Endless Harvest
Good advice caused an unpredictable change of heart.
Monica said, “Mark and I are talking about moving in together.”
Madgna smiled, “Ah, dear. Love’s like a garden. It needs patience, pruning, and watering. To reap a shared lifetime, you have to sow love over and over — sometimes with a shared glance, a laugh, or just over coffee. Love through the things that irritate you. You’ll have to keep falling in love until you die. Not just with Mark but with who he becomes. Love evolves, sweetheart. Embrace all of it, and your journey will be beautiful.”
They were quiet for a long moment.
“Ma, I’m not sure anymore.”
