Mother Earth is alive and new with each morning in May Sun risings shine in golden beams and supreme sun rays Parading colorful berries, roses, and peonies in laughing reds Proud willow trees sway her lovely vines effortlessly Plethoras of sensuous beauty announce May’s reign

Her song whispers concertos in verse morn till evening Showcasing her colorful beauty and sparkling elegant scenes Re-announcing Spring in magnificent flourished brilliance Spring sings with voices on young green tree leaves May offers Earth fragrant flowers and wild things anew

A symphony of voices from the birds, bees, even the wind sings Apricot and almond trees blossoming in pale pink flowers Butterflies floating on colorful wings yellow-orange and black Fields of buttercups, pink and blue bowing in the breeze Softly and mildly and nectarous to the hummingbirds

Planters watching the moon for their planting time Mothers digging in the earth for worms for fishing Laughing children dipping toes in fresh lake water And running barefoot through the open fields Stopping to pick green herbs to boil for healing

Animals lounge comfortably wild and tame May rains fall softly warm and honey-sweet Moonlit nights arrayed with starry warmth and calm May is the loveliest of all the months and Each day in May is gloriously sublime
