Loved, Too
A BNG Black Out Integration Poem
Igbehin
I sit here on your shores, looking in between. I tried to be what you wanted me to be, But you keep setting me back
I am the Igbehin, of your heart Your mind, Your agenda. I am the afterthought of creativity.
I am the water droplets that splashes to the bank when you jump into the river.
You don’t think of me, drying up, on the shores. You think, only, of the water that surrounds you.
Feran Ju
Feran Ju is the spectacles I use to see you. Rose colored, and filled with the an amorous glow of loving without love
For no matter who steps on me, Who sees me I am the spot they wipe away. But I have memory.
I remember the times before. The dance upon the waves in the ocean. The skies that smiled upon me, the winds that played along me
Mo ni Ife re
Those moments, the times, before the igbehin Mo ni Ife re
When I mattered to you Mo ni Ife re
When you remembered me Mo ni Ife re
So as i dry on the shore, I think of you I think of my life
I think of the Mo ni Ife re
And I am at one, just to be.

Feran Ju : Like or love
Igbehin: The latter
Mo ni Ife re: I like it. I love it.
