Sprint Poem of Despair
Love Unrequited is Love Interrupted
Unrequited love is the saddest love of all

This static page is an inferior arena for my rage.
I feel silly at my age asking your heart to engage.
I humbly request through rhyme, a moment of your time.
These verses pour from my soul, begging you to make me whole.
My pleas fall on deaf ears, as my eyes are engorged with tears.
I cycle between love and hate knowing that loneliness will be my fate.
Love vainly tries to quell my anger, why have you become a stranger?
I wish that we had never met . My heart is frantic and my mind frets.
The love is seeping slowly from my tattered heart’s seams. Welcome to my nightmare the former star of my dreams.
Love is so beautiful when it is mutual. When you love someone who does not love you, emotions can become conflicting. You feel like you have done everything to be loving, yet you remain the only one in love.
Thank you for reading my sprint poem!
