My heart once felt so full of joy, As I walked hand in hand with my girl We laughed, we loved, we dreamed, hoped And in each other’s arms we coped

But then came pain, so sharp and deep As our love began to falter and seep Tears, fell like rain as we tried to mend hurt and cried, But our broken hearts just wouldn’t blend We fought and argued,

As our love slowly withered and died. The pain inside was just too much, And our once warm love had turned to dust

Now I’m left with memories of what we had, And a heart that’s broken, bruised, and sad I try to move on, to let love in again But the fear of heartbreak still remains Love can be beautiful, sweet, and true But it can also leave us,

feeling so blue So take care of your heart, love with care For a broken heart is a burden hard to bear Love with tender care, Mend a broken heart’s despair, Ease the burden we can’t bear.
