Unrequited Love.

It is the last week of the final exams in Prince High School and also it’s a week before the bond between John and Rose is shattered.

For nearly three years now, John has had a crush on his desk-mate Rose. Her beautiful smile; her sarcastic nature, her smooth skin, her brown eyes and not forgetting her eloquence. When she stands up to speak, you get carried away instantly.

John’s love for Rose has been strengthening over time after Rose was put to sit together with him. John got to know Rose even better, an added advantage to him. As usual with boys, John opens up to Peter his closest friend about his love for Rose but at first, Peter thinks that John is being comical. Later after continuance repetition of John’s love for Rose, Peter realizes that his friend is actually in love.

John is ready to profess his love to Rose but there is a hiccup he faces. Peter having known Rose for a long time, advises John, not to profess his love rather sit on it.

“By telling Rose you love her, she may stop being your friend and she may cut cords with you,” Peter’s take on John’s love.

It is now a day to go before the class of ’13 finishes with high school. John is sitting on his bed thinking about his crush. “Will I destroy my friendship with Rose if I tell her I love her? Should I just tell her that I love her? Should I listen to Peter? What should I do?”
