Love Letter

Forever yours, your trouble child

I love you

A phrase I rarely say in this world,

Yet you both didn’t seem to mind or care

As if the fact that I was there, was all that mattered.

Even when I rarely show my true feelings to you both,

In all years that passed us by.

Even when I rarely responded,

To your affections, kisses, and hugs.

You never once thought of giving up on me,

Even when it would be easier.

Not caring that I rarely said it, not minding if I didn’t change

Only wanting me to be happy.

Thank you both for being so understanding, I know it was hard

Thank you for always being so warm, always keeping me safe

Making me always feel it, that boundless love

That was all for me, I knew I was a blessed child.

Mom and Dad

Even though I rarely say it or show it to you both.

I have always been grateful, from the bottom of my heart

For everything, you guys have done for me.
