Summary

Indubala Kachhawa reflects on the transformative process of revisiting and revising an old poem for the New Year, inspired by Carolyn Hastings' makeover prompt, and celebrates the magical, love-filled atmosphere of February.

Abstract

In the transition to 2023, author Indubala Kachhawa was inspired by a makeover prompt from Carolyn Hastings to breathe new life into an existing poem. This initiative, aimed at poets, encouraged the revitalization of past works. Kachhawa, who identifies as a true Aquarian, feels a profound connection with February, a month she associates with love and the unknown. The poem's makeover, completed just in time for the prompt, allowed the author to nurture her soul through the act of writing. The Makeover

Love Is In The Air

It always is.

painting by the author

As we embarked on the New Year 2023, our dear Carolyn Hastings prompted us with a wonderful makeover idea.

It was about bringing an old poem to life by giving it a little makeover.

Our dear Carolyn is a very creative person. She knows how best to get dear poets to work by her lucrative prompts.

All through January, I had it in the back of my mind to revive some old poem of mine and touch it up. Thank God! I still have a few hours to contribute to the wonderful prompt and nurture my soul by writing.

Why I chose this poem

February always has a special magical effect on me. Well yes! I am a die-hard true aquarian. Also, it is the month of Valentine’s.

Every February, I feel a Deja Vu, of something unknown, somewhere, I don’t know but feel a strong connection. I believe I feel the air carries a special message for me, for everyone in February.

After Poem

Again the month of February is here I feel love is in the air!

When the waft of air cross the peak the puff of wind over the sea blow my hair and touch my soul I feel love is in the breeze!

When the cool wind tickles the flowers The petals blush and blossom unawares Their fragrance spread far and near I smell of love in the air

A nostalgia, or a dejavu A bond of love unknown, unseen Harks a message in this February air Feel, Believe Love is in the air

Before Poem

Old February Poem published on 1st Feb, 2021

The month of February is here I feel love is in the air! What intoxicating concoction it holds! Some days are cold, Spring sneaks in some Poised, waiting for a grand welcome! To sprout the seeds, to hold the reign Passionate tweets enveloped in the drops of rain Setting the stage for joyful terrain

I feel love is in the air!

The kindred spirits rejoice in recreation In this euphoric fusion of the four seasons A gust of cool air kisses the cheek Another waft of air, whirls the hair The next breath of air, plants a peck Craving to caress besotted in a splendid affair

I feel love is in the air!

The last batch of crumpled leaves, merrily sway As the buzzing breeze makes them fly The wind gently sweeps them away The symphony of their cuddle The love when they meddle Twigs, leaves and the air, a twirl here and whirl there

I feel the love is in the air

An Ambrosia, lets devour the drink divine In this blessed month of Valentine
