Abstract

The poem "Love Goes Underground" by America Zed delves into the depths of love and its resilience. It expresses a desire for a love that is as constant as nature, yet acknowledges the vulnerability that comes with potential loss and the barriers that may arise. The narrative speaks to the need for reassurance in love and the transformation of one's song when faced with the pain of separation. It suggests that even when love is not openly expressed or acknowledged, it persists beneath the surface, in the underground of our emotions. • The poet emphasizes the importance of maintaining a connection with a partner, even when facing despair or emotional distance.

I hope this vibe, Our song is never ending, I hope the sun, Falls through the shadow in the wood.

But if someone has moved the stones on the path to your heart, And I can’t find my way back to you, running through the dark.

You better love me, Hey you, better reassure me, ’Cause I may always, See what’s gone, And then sing a different song.

So when I’m in despair, from time to time, And you can feel it, Going on above your head.

Don’t listen to the sound … I still need you

When love goes underground, Love goes underground.

I hope our eyes, Can always see beyond here, And I hope your dreams, Last for all your life.

But if someone has crossed the signs on the road to your heart, And I can’t find my way back to you, running through the dark.

Well you better love me, Hey you, better call my name, As life can sometimes, Leave me cold, Then I sing a different song.

So when I’m in despair, From time to time, And you can feel it, Going on above your head.

Don’t listen to the sound … Well I still need you

When love goes underground, Love goes underground …
