Love For My Favorite Board Game
How to enjoy an afternoon

“Life is like a board game. Advancing forward is the key.” ― Torron-Lee Dewar
We have shelf upon shelf of board games stacked up in our garage. Yet, only one is a favorite to play with my son.
It is Monopoly, a game not everyone loves.
My heart leaped with appreciation yesterday when my son exclaimed he wanted to play our favorite game this week. I find great joy in our time together.
Our game is vintage, with the original metal playing pieces, a few missing property cards, and touches of nostalgia.
I still remember when my son won the game and told me I needed to be more fiscally responsible in Monopoly. What an unusual tip from a 13-year-old!
Tomorrow my son has a day off of school, so we will have a special lunch together and play our game.
The memories we make around that old worn board will last for a lifetime.
What is your favorite board game? What memories do you have playing it? Please share your story in the comments. I appreciate you!
