Lost Memories

Or forgotten to remember? — A poem

Photo by Alex Iby on Unsplash

Gently I tear apart my secret serenity. Relinquishing guarantees that have gone astray.

Like a flame to gasoline, Burning bridges to escape everything.

Approaching a comprehension that is vanishing. With hook and bait to catch the lost memories. Late at night with only moonlight. To see the disappearing bait without noticing a bite. Listening in on the missing wisdom that regained its voice. Confused and nervous to learn how to be. As I have lost all memory. Who was I before I became me?
