Losing The Person You Love

Very sadly parting ways, poem...2

A poem I wrote about having to watch your love pack and move out.

She is moving out! It is irreversible now. The pain of it is searing. It hits my stomach, pow!

Such regret and desire to go back. Redo my actions, be a better man. Give her the joy that she deserved. Look her in the eye, say that I can.

The boxes are stacked, and ready to be filled. My heart is empty, feels like it’s been killed.

I look to the future, I try to be strong. I imagine a better day. Are neither of us wrong?

My sweet little angel, can’t we still try? I know we’ve been through this, But, don’t want to say bye?

I don’t know what I’ll do, when I see you out there. Something I fear, Because I still care.

Another Medium writer, V Ernst, has captured many feelings I can relate to in her poems.

peace,
