Losing Or Gaining

Today’s Sunrise for Hope by Annelise Lords

For the past months, everyone has been complaining about ‘Losing.’ We are complaining about not being able to leave our house, not going out to eat or enjoy the company of friends and family. Not being able to do this and that. Yes, we are losing, some more than others. Many of us don’t know how we are going to survive and feed ourselves and family.

Our freedom has been taken away. I wouldn’t say that our freedom was taken. In life, all of us must give up something to get something else, and most times it’s something better. We want to be alive, and to stay alive and be free comes with a price. For the ones who are still alive, life is a gift, and to keep that precious gift of life this crisis gives us its ‘To-Do List.’

The victims of this crisis, innocent or not would love a second chance at the gift of life. This too, like all things in life will pass and there will be losses, but there will be gains too. This crisis has forced us to unite for the good of all. Crisis or not, we should unite for the survival of humanity. Because when we get back the life we treasure, yes, we will survive this, we will appreciate all lessons learned in the process and be grateful for them.

We will notice new things about ourselves and the love of humanity that will make us smile. We will have more appreciation for life and living. This crisis is forcing the good in us to show through our kindness and consideration to others, thus appealing to the humanity in us. Isn’t that beautiful.

Love is flowing out of the hearts and minds of communities and neighborhoods who are united into sharing, lending a helping hand, giving hope, food, understanding, and forgiveness, thus helping to create a world we dream of. Love is blooming everywhere as humanity in most of us has been restored.

Most of us are doing the right things to aid in the survival of all, how Wwwooonnndddeeerrrfffuuulll is that. Imagine a world where there are so much love and kindness flowing around survival is sure! Don’t stop this!

PS. The love I mean.
