Poetry Prompt

The New Year is finally here!

What a long wait it has been.

How will 2021 fare?

That still remains to be seen.

Devour more books. Write many stories.

Read other perspectives. Learn new skills.

My hopes for the year are many and evolving.

Essentially I plan to be better and touch more lives.

I wish to savor my daughters growing up,

My firstborn changing from a little girl to tween.

The toddler exploring the sky and the earth

And everything in between.

Last year was arduous for all, no doubt!

It put us all to the test.

But it also taught us we can be more.

So am game for whatever is next!

This is a response to the brilliant prompt at The Brain Is a Noodle:
