Look Like Someone Else
Rest in peace, great lady

Since this morning, I feel like writing something, but nothing comes. And then I stumbled upon this quote from Juliette Gréco, who died yesterday at the age of 93.
“Chacun d’entre nous porte la difficulté extrême d’être soi-même, alors autant s’assumer : pourquoi vouloir ressembler à quelqu’un d’autre? C’est d’un ennui putride !”
— Juliette Gréco
I have tried to translate the quote as faithfully as possible:
“Each of us has the extreme difficulty of being ourselves, so we might as well take responsibility for ourselves: why do we want to look like someone else? It’s putrid boredom!”
You can guess why I have always remained true to myself here, in what I write, and in the stories and writers I choose to publish.
I think that Juliette Gréco's words also fit Scribe’s soul perfectly. You can easily understand why I have always said that this publication was different, and will remain so. I get the feeling that you are all different here, and that you just want to be yourself.
I will never try to look like someone else. I will always be me. These thoughts were probably not worth a story, but I wanted to write them down.
Thank you, great lady.
