Look For Something Positive In A Difficult Situation

When things aren’t going your way, it can be really hard to think or stay positive. The mind gets into an endless thought loop — and you wonder if you are doing things right. You worry about what if something goes wrong and if that happens, what to do next?

Thoughts like these stop you from thinking clearly and taking action, leading to frustration. And negative, toxic feelings seem to envelop your life.

So, how do you deal with this?

One way to get out of that loop is to practice mindfulness. Wait — I am not referring to anything complicated. Simply live in the present moment. Focus on the now. Literally. This can help when the future seems uncertain.

Just breathe. When you do this, you get back your focus. You feel calm. You are not thinking of the past or the future. Gradually, your stress reduces. And you find yourself more open to being positive.
