Longingly Looking for Love’s Luminous Light

With help from the letters L, I, and V and a glossary

Is it such a luftschloss to look at my innsaei and see luminescence instead of lacuna?

Can I meraki my altruism inward and behold ineffable iridescence?

While not quite agile as some, my voracious voorpret’s vivacious vitality just might be the miraculous magic required.

This poem was inspired by a ten-word poetry prompt from IdeaStream №61. Many thanks to Xavier Van Holde for providing the definitions, saving me goo-gobs of time and enhancing my voorpret for completion! So since Xav did it for me, I’ll do it for you!:

Poetry Salvage: Use these ten words in a poem!

  • altruism- the concern for other’s happiness
  • iridescent- producing an array of rainbow-like colors.
  • luftschloss- An unrealistic dream. Air castle. Pipe dream. (german word)
  • meraki- to put your heart and soul into something.
  • lacuna- a blank space or missing part
  • wayfarer- wanderer
  • ineffable- to grand or great to be put into words.
  • voorpret- the anticipation of fun, like you experience before a party.
  • agile- fast
  • innsaei- the sea within yourself
