Long-Gone Summer

Another, Within Reach

Photo by 30daysreplay (PR & Marketing) on Unsplash

Strolling along the shoreline of an empty beach a walk to the elixir spirit kept rolling me in, with one wave after another a mood of autumn captured my mind, with embers of tangerine sunshine dancing on the shimmery droplets, your waving goodbyes showered, in the pupil of my eyes reminds me of you, and long-gone summer

With each tear tumbled across my lips I opened my arms back in time, when your flirtatious winks used to scan temporary tides of my tan lines and stars used to fizzle musical perfumes in your voice

As when the grey skies blanketed with reality, cut the seeds of doubt, with the igniting blaze of self-love and the sun-set reflecting in the pupil of my eyes a flickering hope, at the curves of my smile revealed the shards of blossoming flowers, scattered serenity in my skin, to sparkle, to shine

Now I lay in the remains of those flower-beds which may become rotten, or probably forgotten but as I battled with life’s strife in lost-gone summer those rotten flower-beds turned to rosy-ones and these whispering winds, along the shoreline brings me a fragrance of another summer,

another strong summer, within reach.
