Summarize

long gone

Photo by Nathan Dumlao on Unsplash

when the judge asked him to profess his dying love for his children I’m told he didn’t blink he didn’t falter didn’t shudder

.

no rights to them no visits don’t worry about child support they told him just go willingly, if you wish

.

he may or may not have said goodbye in those last few moments I don’t know

.

was it really that easy?

.

I’ll never know how he felt in those moments after as he walked to his car how could I

.

my 3-year-old is laughing in the other room her mother trying to put on her pajamas my daughter resists fighter until the end

.

how can a man walk away from something like that?

.

I’m not upset with that man malice has gone forgot now I’m just left with lingering curiosity

.

I wish I could remember how he did it his tone of voice his posture did he blink?

.

I was only 5 years old at the time I only remember staring at my gameboy

.

was he wearing a tie? and if so what color?

.

.
